- show emotional range and character
- be completely memorized
- begin with an introduction modeled after the following:

PREPARING TO AUDITION
Copies of the script will be available to check out overnight. The directors strongly encourage you to check out a copy of the script to read. Understanding more about the show you are auditioning for will help you pick the right monologue material. You are able to sign out a copy from Ms. Armstrong in B105. Scripts must be returned to Ms. Armstrong the following morning.
AUDITION PROCESS
After everyone has auditioned we will break briefly and call back only those that we need to have read from the script. All others will be released—this does not necessarily mean you aren’t cast in the show. It just means we have heard and seen all we need from you.
CASTING PROCESS
The cast list will be posted sometime during the Friday after auditions. If you receive a role, you must initial by your name to show that you are accepting the position. You must do so by the end of school on Friday! Rehearsals will begin with a read-through on the following Monday immediately after school in the Little Theatre.
QUESTIONS?
If you have additional questions, feel free to contact or visit: Ms. Armstrong in B105 (marmstrong@hse.k12.in.us), or Mrs. Mathias in B104 (dmathias@hse.k12.in.us), or Mr. Mathias in B115 (emathias@hse.k12.in.us).
