HSE Drama and Equity
We strive to make HSE Drama Club and International Thespian Society inclusive and safe spaces for all persons. A theater (both onstage and off) should be open to everyone, regardless of gender, color, sexual orientation, size, body type, ability, etc.
In terms of equity in education, we believe the challenges we face as a society cannot be overcome by relying on the same thoughts and attitudes that led us to this moment. Believing that representation matters and valuing intentional inclusivity strengthens us as learners and enhances our understanding of the world around us.
We recognize that throughout the theatre community, there are many problems in this area and we acknowledge that as part of that community, it is incumbent upon us to help find solutions moving forward.
