OTHELLO - TAKE 2

IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER!
  • Use the new track (linked above). It has a metronome sound to help with rhythm as well as the amplified melody.
  • Record yourself singing all parts of the song (even if they aren’t your solo or you don’t sing them onstage.) The more the merrier!
  • Pay extra close attention to the consonants of words. Underline them in your lyrics/music to help.
  • Record your voice and play back test it to make sure you aren’t maxing/peaking out the sound (red lines) or sound like you’re singing into a pillow. Ms. B. is very skilled but not a miracle worker.
Reminder: In order to minimize picking up the accompaniment track, record on one device and record on another. Download the track from the folder above and play it through headphones on a different device. (e.g. play from laptop, record via Voice Memos; play from phone into earbuds, record into GarageBand or Audacity. Or Google other ways to record yourself.
